Mattia Fiaschini is the young Italian tourist who vanished during bush-walking in the Blue Mountains earlier this week. He has been located and announced dead today.

He was believed to be 24 years old.
Mattia Fiaschini Missing
Mr Fiaschini was last seen on January 29 when he was leaving Blackheath Railway Station in the Blue Mountains, 50 km north-west of Sydney.
He was said to be living in the inner Sydney suburb of Surry Hills when he, as reported, traveled to the Blue Mountains for hiking.
He was confirmed missing on January 30 after not arriving at work in Alexandria, also in the centre of Sydney, on time.
Mattia Fiaschini Death and Cause of Death
NSW Police appealed for information with officers admitting they had grave concerns for his safety.
Days of searching ended when Fiaschini was reportedly found dead today.
A group of searchers found his body just after 2.30 p.m today near the Baltzer Lookout, near Blackheath, and announced his death.
Emergency services were under process to retrieve Mr Fiaschini’s body.
Police are looking for more information about his disappearance earlier in the week, and death today.
A report will be launched for the Coroner as soon as possible.
