Jeremiah Dickey Shot Dead During Facebook Live
Around 6:45 p.m, police responded to a 911 call about a teenage boy who got shot dead at Elton Street and News Lots Avenue in Brooklyn, the New York Police Department reported.
When the police arrived at the scene, a teenager was found dead on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head.
The teenager, later identified as the 19-year-old Jeremiah Dickey by authorities, was announced dead later after being hospitalized.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he remained under serious condition and was later pronounced dead, according to police.

“I just miss my son. I shouldn’t have to be sitting here sobbing while they they are still out there running free”, Debra Dickey, Jeremiah’s mother told CNN.
His mother reveals that there wasn’t any way to know something like that accident could happen to her son, especially during Facebook Live.

According to a statement Facebook made, Jeremiah’s live video had reportedly been deleted from the Facebook’s platform.
Jeremiah was said to be singing along to a song about 35 seconds from the car while on Facebook Live. The video shows after he turned around to have a quick look, five gunshots were heard, one of which police believe hit Jeremiah’s head.
The New York Police Department told CNN that it is unknown if the shooting had been recorded in the deleted Facebook Live video.
An investigation is still going. However, no suspects have been arrested yet.
